Ozzie's, Hinsdale NY

Great place to eat is in Hinsdale. Ozzie's Steak and Eggs. Great food at great prices. Nice decor and friendly people from the owners, workers and patrons. You can eat in the booths or at the counter one one side or in the dining area on the other side. In the summer it great to relax and have a drink and dinner on there deck under the canopy and near the river. Great seafood and steaks. A true gem nestled in the center of Hinsdale. Take Rt 8 into Hinsdale and take a right at the lights. Right across from the Post Office.

The Elbow Room in Coltsville, MA

The Elbow Room, in Coltsville, across from Monroe Muffler, is a great place from steak to over-stuffed sandwich's. Their fish & chips (Friday, all-you-can-eat) are second to none! Thursday's clam strips (all-you-can-eat) are scrumptious. Both come with a delicious coleslaw, & their fries are not only different, but tasty! The staff is very friendly & courteous. Dine in their glass room & enjoy the view of the Berkshires!

Picnic and swim is Onota Lake in Pittsfield, MA

The best place to picnic and swim is Onota Lake in Pittsfield. My dad and his family had fond memories of get togethers there and when I was growing up, we'd make plans to meet with relatives early in the morning to grab a few picnic tables and stay until dark. They used to have a snack bar and it was such a thrill to save some change and buy candy necklaces (and then forget to take them off when we jumped in the water!) I wonder if there's still that big rock where the old swimming area used to be that we used to dive off of? And I remember swimming across the lake with my 70+ year old Grandpa Gus!

The Pillars in New Lebanon, NY

When I lived in Pittsfield, my husband's and my favorite restaurant HANDS DOWN was The Pillars over in New Lebanon, NY. We ALWAYS went for our anniversary, the food there is phenomenal and the service is top rate! We pretty much always got the same thing, the Chateaubriand (sp?) for 2, it just literally melted in your mouth! Then we would follow that with the Unfinished Symphony for dessert! For those of you who don't know, this is a small dark chocolate standing upright piano, filled with raspberry mousse, it even had white chocolate keys! Exquisite dining at it's finest!!! Must Go!!

Zenn's Dog House in Pittsfield, MA

Zenn's Dog House
Cheshire Road
Pittsfield MA 01201

This fairly new establishment located in the former Huts Restaurant, is a great place for any style hot dog you enjoy. The decor inside is great!! They also added an outdoor window for food and ice cream. I enjoy playing keno and this is the best place to go for that. Prices are reasonable and I just love the place.
