Celtics
The Boston Celtics are going to win this year, or else. Boston, once loaded with a number of promising yet unproven players, has gotten much better -- and much older, very quickly.
According to Associated Press writer Howard Ulman, Boston will complete the long-rumored deal for Minnesota Timberwolves center Kevin Garnett today. The Celtics will pair three selfless, but aging, superstars in Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen.
After watching the team flounder insignificantly -- unless you count the embarrassing assumption that the team intentionally tanked for a better chance at the top pick in the draft -- last year, the Celtics will at least be relevant this season.
We'll update with the full details of the deal when they're available, but we're curious what Celtics fans think.
Does the team now have the goods to compete with Cleveland, Chicago and Detroit for an East title? Or did the Celtics sell out their future for nothing other than a playoff spot?
