MIAA Division III state girls' semifinals

From Chris Carlson, who's at the Mullins Center covering Lee's semifinal against Quaboag:

FINAL - Quaboag 62, Lee 40.

Quaboag (24-1) moves to Saturday's state championship game; Lee finishes the season 19-4.

Western Mass. basketball championship Saturday

Two Western Mass. championships down, one to go.

Lee won the Division III girls' championship, beating Granby 63-43.
Palmer rallied to deny Monument Mountain the Division II girls' title, 53-45.

South Hadley, the No. 10 seed, finished its run through the top three seeds in the Division II boys' field, beating top seed Taconic 55-49 for the championship.

Division II girls' semifinal:

Monument Mountain 54, Mahar 39 - FINAL
(Monument moves to Saturday's championship game, set for 2:15 p.m.)

Division III girls' semifinal:
Lee 53, Lenox 38 - FINAL
(Lee moves to Saturday's championship game, set for 10:45 a.m. Lenox was shut out 15-0 in the fourth quarter.)

Drury-South Hadley

It was a blue night for the Drury Blue Devils in the Western Mass. Division II boys' basketball semifinals. Drury blew a 13-point second half lead in a 57-52 loss to South Hadley.
