memorable lines
NBC.com's "Office" corner has a quotes game.
Been there, done that.
So now I'm starting my own. Sure, there are only a couple episodes left in the season, but that's okay. "The Office" is good all year 'round. And this week, the challenge is on me.
I mentioned a couple weeks ago that a fellow Eagle copy editor, Kerry Sullivan, had e-mailed me while I was at work during an episode to gloat -- I mean, to share with me just how great the show was that night. And tonight, she's e-mailed me a random quote from "Beach Games," which I won't get to see until midnight, and I have to guess who said it.
The quote: "Yes! Funtivities! I knew this wouldn't just be a trip to the beach.
I hope there will be management parables!"
Who said it?: Ooh, Kerry picked a really tough quote. (Good job!) I'm going to guess Jim (John Krasinski), because he's sarcastic like that. Could maybe be Pam (Jenna Fischer) or Ryan (B.J. Novak), maybe, but somehow I can't hear Pam saying "management parables," and I can't see Ryan mustering the fake enthusiasm. So ... Jim?
Am I right? I'll update when I find out.
Update, 1:49 a.m.: It was Dwight (Rainn Wilson)! The exclamation marks did, indeed, signify true devoted enthusiasm. Ah well, I'm much better at the quotes game, I think, when it's episodes I've seen. Still, I can't wait to try again with next week's season finale.

Not even close with your guesses. But I guess you'll know that by the time you approve this comment. :-)

GAH! really? darn.
hmmm.
* can't be toby -- he's way too blasé for exclamation points. same with kevin. and stanley. and phyllis.
* unless meredith was drunk, it couldn't be her.
* kelly is really good for some exclamation marks, but i can't hear her saying "management parables" either.
* angela would definitely say "parables," but i can't imagine "funtivities" coming out of her mouth. maybe she was being sarcastic, though.
* dwight -- maybe. perhaps the punctuation wasn't meant to denote sarcasm.
* or, if it was, maybe it was karen. but i don't think so.
* but it can't be creed. can it?
man, girl, you picked a good quote!
oh WAIT -- was it andy?
