I found out yesterday I'm going to have to tape the season finale of NBC's "My Name is Earl." Against my will, of course.
I've never had the least bit of interest in the show, though it's gotten such consistently great reviews that I've often thought I should see it, even just once.
But yesterday afternoon, while I was browsing YouTube as usual, the official NBC channel was auto-playing the "Earl" season finale promo; hoping this one, like the shorter one on TV, would have "Office" clips at the end, I watched the whole thing ... and I discovered Marlee Matlin is guest starring!
I've been a fan of Matlin since high school, when I was teaching myself American Sign Language from books and movies, and I loved "Reasonable Doubts," the series that pitted her as a deaf prosecutor against Mark Harmon as a street-smart investigator. I was thrilled to see Matlin guesting on "The L Word" this past season
And now, apparently, she's on "Earl," playing another lawyer. I'll have to check this out.
