perhaps, perhaps, perhaps

Last week, I saw the trailer for "License to Wed," the forthcoming film starring Robin Williams, Mandy Moore and John Krasinski. I'm still not sure what to think.

Ever since I first heard about the project, I've been of two minds: Half of me is thrilled, because really, can one get enough of the likeable Krasinski, who's charmed us all as Jim in "The Office"?

The other half of me is wary, because we're talking about a romantic comedy here, the kind that can easily go the cheeseball route, especially with Williams getting top billing. Don't get me wrong -- I love Williams in his darker, more serious roles, like his stalker in "One Hour Photo," but his brand of funny is just a little bit too frenetic for my liking.

Adding to my nervousness is the fact that "Wed" was directed by Ken Kwapis, who also helmed "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." Need I say more? Actually, yes -- he's been at the reigns of eight "Office" episodes. Good ones, too, like "Gay Witch Hunt." So who can say?

To my relief, the trailer actually makes the film out to look okay, as rom-coms go. I guess I'll find out for sure on July 4.
