Knowing
June 10, 2006: You will quickly see why I call this - Out in my yard - rather than out in the garden or lawn (yah right).

You see I don’t even have a lawnmower. I hack. I used to have a mower. It was back then that I referred to what I do as - Knowing Mowing. It was, and still is all about knowing what is out there. And letting it come up (or not). You will also see I have a hard time with the – or not - part. Do you like the –'s instead of quotes? Ala Joyce. Anyway, the thing is that you have to let the lawn get away from you a bit before you really know what will come up and what you would like to go with. So early on I did some - straightening up - and - moving around - of the Chives, Corn Flowers, growth around the birdbath and moved some tall daisies and Tiger Lilies (the orange ones) around.

Bernie I have this picture of you driving around the lawnmower kind of like the stripes on your painting, making random loops around the yard.

If you rent a lawn, you don't have to mow it.

My lawn is mostly weeds. So when I say I'm mowing the lawn, it's a misnomer. Would be more accurate to say that I'm going to "mow the weeds."

I don't mow the lawn -- I just mow the weeds.

Let me know when you're going to sell. That's a sweet spread.
