March 30, 2007: Spring IS coming!
Here are some encouraging signs. The yard is a mess after a winter of rain, sleet, snow and thaws. Like the feelings you get inside sometime after a emotional storm while waiting for the lightness of being to establish itself again. Getting outside in your yard or garden no matter how small will help. Try it. In fact the smaller the yard or garden the better. Just don't try to do too much. Remember the first post...

Towards the house from solar south. That's the wood ring with plastic cover has been actually blown down by our March winds.

Baby Dog has made it through the winter (again). See the Day Lillies and the Tall Daisies popping out a bit?

Looking back into the woods to the field beyond.

Day Lilly sprouts by my bedroom window.

Hello!

Path around the house looking south.

The woodpile plastic cover has caved in. Every year...

The dollop.

Here's some promising signs. Daffodils and Kira's flowers.

Close up.

East berm is sprouting too. Shot about 7:30 am. Hello again!

Front yard looking from about mid front yard.

Violets will be all over this berm in a month or so.

Under the deck the Hostas grow. Or will.
We are off and running.
Rake time next weekend...
